Cup Final live on TV!

The FAI Carlsberg Senior Challenge Cup final will be broadcast live on RTE television on Sunday October 27 2002. The final, between Derry City and Shamrock Rovers kicks off at 3:00 pm.

If the game is drawn, RTE has also committed to showing the replay live on Sunday November 3 2002.


Maybe its too soon for tv3 but its almost disappointing RTE got it.

their "promotion" will probably consist of a reminder on the six-one news on saturday, maybe on news2 as well if we´re lucky. And coverage will start at 2:55, and end within 10 minutes of the final whistle.

Theyve already lost the rights to the eL. This will be they're last broadcast of a game between irish clubs for a long while :D
