God that hurts.
I said at the start of the season that top six and a Cup quarterfinal would be a very good performance.
Tonight has the potential to leave people with bad memories of what was a fine return to the Premier. There's a handful of games left in which things can be salvaged. The lads are going to have a hard time picking themselves up after this. Now, more than ever, the supporters (that word again) need to get behind them.
We've got two of the top four to come, we owe UCD big time, and Bray . . . well, who doesn't like beating Bray?
One crappy result doesn't negate the fact that this is a season to be proud of. There's still a big gap between us and the top echelon, but there are only four teams in the country better than Sligo Rovers. Let's look forward to reducing that number.
Keep the faith.
