It's a busy service, so kids with bus passes aren't allowed to use it, unless they pay the fare of course.
Surely against the law?

Surely against the law?

How could it possibly be against the law?
Bus Eireann issue the tickets so they can dictate when they are valid or not. It's a bus service to the airport, kids have no business using it as a school bus.

If they've paid for a bus pass they have as much a right to use the service as anyone else who comes on and pays.

They get a bus pass to allow them travel to school on a certain route.
Click here (http://www.buseireann.ie/site/home/contact_us.asp) if you have a problem with it.

But is it not discrimination against children? Why don't they banned people with adult bus passes from the buses during that time?

They're paying full fare?

Flight arrives at 09:45, would there be a chance of us catching the 10:00 coach?

You'd be cutting it fine because you have to walk off the plane, through arrivals and down to the bus stop. Providing the flight is on time and you've no hand luggage, you might just make it.
I'm almost certain you can buy your ticket on the bus.

Are you staying somewhere in town?
The bus will bring you to Parnell Place. (Next to Merchants Quay)

This might be a bit late, but there's also a private bus service from the airport to the city centre (though I cannot remember what its called). They have yellow busses and I think it costs €5. They claim to serve the city centre hotels, but I've never used it so I don't know. It seems pretty frequent, I always see them going up and down the South City Link Rd (note: they go straight from the airport to the city-centre, AFAIK they don't make stops in between).

Sorry I don't have more info, anyone know what this company are called?
