With all the moaning and whinging that goes on in this Ireland forum about why the Irish Team is crap, hows about doing something positive for football here and go to one of the FAI cup semi finals. Its fancy dress. most people are going as football fans. One tonite and one on sunday.

I'm housebound tonight, wife out & no babysitter available.

If it was on TV I'd like to have gone to the pub to watch Rovers vs pats, but I think I'll listen to it on RTE radio if it's on. I don't have Setanta.

Before you level barstooler accusations, I live in England.

Bill, you used to have a Rovers logo, now a Pat's one. Mixed loyalties, or any loyalties?

Crowd expectations?

The northwest derby is sold out, was thinking of going to the other match tonight if there was any tickets available but surely a massive club like Shamrock Rovers would have filled tolka already for the luas derby.

Rte.ie will have coverage of tonights match. Whether this means a live stream is another thing.

No, my local has so I never really thought it necessary. But I'm under house arrest tonight. Will listen to the game on RTE radio which I sometimes get LW, or defintely on my TV, and I think I'll also flick over onto SKY TV to get a first real look at this St. Ledger fella.

Anyone who is in Dublin should absolutely go along to Tolka tonight - it'll be much better being there than watching it on TV. Believe me, its the best anitdote to the misery of Landsdown Road.

English barstooler...!:D
(I dont even know what that means)
I just thought they were big games and deserved a bit of advertisin. bloody papers full of some game between Australia and Ireland in a sport neither of them play.who cares bout that? no dont have any rovers loyalties. the logo just stopped some of their more "biting" posters from slatin me!;) (altho with the recent spate of bannings there wont be much of them left soon enough)

Even from here I think I can feel sense a bit of interest in this game.

Is 10k feasible?

Should be a good game and would go if I was not down the country. As Bill says much better entertainment in my view that the quasi international match between Australia and Ireland. Hope its a good game and it woudl be good for Pats to end their Cup hoodoo.

Were Shels not getting a crowd of 10,000 for a few of the Euro games?

For one game in Lansdowne they got more than 10K, otherwise no.

It was reported that Shels got 10,000 for the game against Rosenburg.

I thought Rovers were a bit unlucky, 2 soft goals. Thanks for the tip about the RTE live web showing!

Would you ever give over?

The pitch looked poor. I thought Pats were stretched but comfortable enough at the same time.
