Let's get sorted lads.
There's going to be be a crowd in every part of the ground. What we need to do now is make sure there's a good few hardcore in each area, so that nowhere is quiet.

So far as I can make out, those who are definitely decided are as follows:
The Shed: SligoBrewer, Sligobhoy, Midgit, The Stars
Railway terrace: akearins, Rovers1,

I'll go to the Treacy Avenue stand, because we badly need to wake it up. It's not going to be an issue of filling any part of the ground - that'll happen anyway. What's important is noise.
A full Shed will always be manic. A full Railway terrace probably likewise. But I've often seen the TA full and not heard much out of it.

That's not what should be facing the cameras on Sunday.

Can I get a few people to agree to join me there and raise a ruckus? We can PM mobile numbers before Sunday.
red arrow's working at the game, so he's out. feo123, wild rover, SRFC Head, Rogue Trader - you all seem to be thinking about it.
Jeebus, have you decided where you're going yet?

I'm going to get to the Showgies very early. I've got plenty of "ammunition" and ideas. PM me for more details.

IT'S TIME TO TAKE THE STAND!

also if we are to congregate in the new stand wouldnt it be better to get to the back of the stand as id say that would help carry the noise forward rather than being in the middle or at the front

If we're in the back few rows, we can stand - it won't inconvenience anyone since there'll be nobody behind us.
I reckon you're right about it being the best spot to get things going.

lads at the back, try and encourage more people to join in with ye. like at tolka when there were only 100 standing before the game, there was at least 200+ singing, standing, and clapping by the end.

JOIN IN WITH EVERY CHANT, EVERY SONG. DON"T BE THE ONE TO LET THEM DIE OUT. KEEP THEM GOING AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, IT"LL BE HARD, BUT WE CAN OUTSING THE DERRY FANS AND HELP THE LADS, THEY"LL NEED EVERY HELP THAT THEY CAN GET

lads we should all meet up in mooneys at 1-1.30 1.30 and head over to the ground at about 2 and all go sing together....if we all go to the same place more of a noise and more will join

shed will be full regardless...so i think we should do it in the section above the away dugout in main stand, starting from the back...2 badhrons[maybe 3 midget???] will get it going...

Sounds good , can someone have a word with McT and ask him to score an early goal to get the crowd going.

I haven't been right up the back of the stand - anyone know what it's made of up there i.e. Is it something that'd make a good racket when you thump it? :D

Rather that tracking Posts can we get a poll organised for this one?
1800 Casper the friendly ghosts in the TA stand mightn’t be too receptive to noise, we might give them a stroke! What is the best Plan? All in the shed and go ****ing mental or scattered throughout the sun-shiners in the ground who may or may not join in? Momentum will be vital….

I really want to go to the shed! but as so many people will be going to the shed , at my height it will be nearly impossible to get a glimpse of the game!!!
I always go to the shed but i may reconsider if i have no view of the game which is a pitty for me!!!

i have a bodhran aswell its not a full size one but its should be ok, ill bring it anyway and see how it fairs out, i think the railway end is the best....nothing like good singing from the terraces, the main stand is more or less a lost cause! ?

Yeah , thump it and you will be screaming for the rest of the match , its made of concrete , would be a good sound if you starting whacking the wooden press box.

From the Rovers website (http://www.sligorovers.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=206&Itemid=88)

A sell-out crowd is expected and O'Grady took the opportunity to appeal to the fans who made the Killester United replay game so special to again congregate together and create an atmosphere to help the players and be the 12th man.

"There will be a great crowd, a good atmosphere. Derry will bring a crowd. Their fans were brilliant in the Brandywell last week but our fans were great too, even though we were getting hammered. Hopefully we can create an atmosphere because it has been pretty dead here all season to be honest. There were 1 or 2 games with a decent atmosphere, but that is about it.

"The fans up in Killester were brilliant because they were all together. It really helped because you do recognise the noise when you are on the pitch and when it is coming from your own it lifts you,so hopefully we can have that sort of backing on Sunday,” concluded the former Derry player.

Time to raise the dead! :D

right lads. im 50 yrs of age ive being supporting rovers all my life . i will be helping at match on sunday. here are the facts the 12th man can win this game thats you me and everybody else that can make noise. the main stand holds the biggest crowd therefore creates the greatest noise provided those who are in it make noise. the club have put in 260 seats for this game (planks of timber at back of stand i saw them myself this eve ) therefore the capacity of stand now is 1800. yee have one oppurtunity only and that is to arrive in to game not later than 1.30 1.45 then you can call the stand your own. it is yee and yee only that can win the game .the noise will lift the players. bel.ieve it or not drumming all the time is not a neccesity . a drum is good but only to get the crowd going. if this is organised right (that means all congregating in the new stand the shed will look after itself) we can outsing derry. make no mistake about it derry have being picking up tickets in sligo all week. its up to yee! priority is shed looks after itself new standmust be occupied early if yee are left out in the open nise not near as good. once again sacrifice the early pints . it will be worth it lads yee can celebrate all yee want when we get to the final. now is the hour. good look . dont dissapoint the players
