And people say there is no interest in the EL. Turkish people, like a lot of people in Eastern Europe, actually bet on the results of Eircom League fixtures hence some of the interest. Or perhaps they are just genuine football fans! :D

it from the webmaster at the station. it seems they are very happy with the figures on the tele but really excited about the web tv audience for the eircom league footy. it was only one of some very interesting findings
if the league clubs keep professionalising and if the fai could subsidise the european ventures of our clubs to the extend the rugby fraternity do our league could move seriously up the rankings and interest gets bigger
