Following on from a meeting between An Garda Siochana, the FAI, Derry City and Sligo Rovers and the Health & Safety Executive – special regulations will be enforced for the Cup match between Sligo Rovers and Derry City.

The Match is all ticket no money will be accepted on the turnstiles.

The Showgrounds is segregated for this match. Derry has the Jinks Avenue Stand and part of the Shed End Terrace. Barriers will be in place. Only people with tickets specially numbered for this area will be allowed access.

Home fans will be accommodated in the Treacy Avenue Stand, the Shed and the Railway End Terrace. No holding of seats will be allowed. If you want a stand seat you must come early. As the stand fills, fans will be ushered towards the Railway End Terrace.

Season ticket holders are advised there will be reserved seating in the Main Stand up until 2:45 (no later). You must bring your season ticket to enter the reserved area.

Full refreshments are available to both home and away fans, but there are no licensed facilities. A total ban on alcohol and all types of fireworks will be in force. Not only will any banned items be confiscated, but also people found in possession of such items, will be refused entry, or ejected from the ground.

Official Sligo Rovers merchandise and souvenirs will be on sale at the Secretary’s Office. No hawkers allowed.

Away fans must enter the ground via the lower (or car park) entrance. Only Derry City fans with tickets will be allowed enter. Home fans will use the usual main entrance turnstiles.

There will be no parking in or near the ground as the Gardai will now allow any cars near the ground. Parking facilities are in the Wine Street Car Park, Dunne’s Stores Car Park and the Cathedral Car Park. We request that everyone gives the utmost respect to local residents.

The match will be televised live. If there are people outside the grounds still trying to get in approaching kick-off time, there is no possibility of the game being delayed. So to avoid congestion please be in the ground a minimum of 30 minutes before kick-off. Gates open at 1:30pm.

Obey the requests and instructions of An Garda Siochana, Stewards and Security Personnel.

Anyone else think that the arrangements are a joke , whats the point in having home advantage if you have to give 40% of the tickets and one of the main stands to the visiting team.

The capacity is set by the licence laws and cant be changed. I'm told it's set for over 6000, but because of safety zones of "no mans land" between us and them it's set at 5100 max.
Derry will enter by the car park and we enter by the main gate. Security fencing dividing both sets of fans. I cant see tifo flags been allowed in, but I'm not sure.

was in the showgies yesterday...heres what i noticed

those mental fences things that sectioned a small bit of the shed are completly gone...they are now in the middle of behind the goal at the shed end...dont know how all those derry fans will fit in there!

railway end has about 10 railings where people can lean against...they scattered about so not everyone will have one to lean against

the wall at the start of the blue stand is being rebuilt....maybe some sort of entrance going in

Can you stand at back of new stand?

Generally at your average league match plenty of people stand at the back of the stand even if there are empty seats but with all this health and safety aspect for Sunday its a different matter. Great view from the back of it though.

Actually that wasn't the most helpfully link... its a flag with a pole, generally used before / after / halftime as it would block the view of alot of people.
