Democracy time...
Should Jofy be banned from foot.ie?

No offence to whoever came up with it but it has to be the most ridiculous unimaginative nickname ever bestowed upon a City player.
It makes me cringe every time I hear it- BAN IT NOW!!!!!!!
No way man! 1 8.33%

Exactly. Besides the nickname is nearly two months old now plus it seems to have stuck. Does anyone REALLY want to go to the bother of thinking up a new one. Does anyone give a **** anyway?

A sure sign that the name's sticking. After all mention it to anyone out the X and guaranteed they'll know who you're talking about. Plus, as I've already said, does ANYONE want to go to the bother of thinking up a new nickname? Besides, they can only get worse.
Murphy Out Now!!!
First time i saw it used here was last week & first game i heard it at was in tolka last friday.
right, get this into your head- the name jofy is not sticking , ok!
I have only heard about 3/4 people use it, and myself and most of the people I know think its a crap name! I think ill go crazy if i hear anyone using it on friday night.
If we cant think of a good nickname, we should just call him John or Flynny or something nice and simple like that. Please no more wierd jofy type names!
damn right i heard 2 muppets :) using it in tolka and i just turned to them with a who the fook is jofy and twasnt mentioned for the rest of the game :D
Worst "nickname" ever.
Jofy, surely it should be JOFLY or John O Flynn or something.
Honestly, there WILL be slaps if i hear any lagner calling him that on Friday.

The pints in Fagans must have an effect on the memory there James :)
Firstly twas only Fonzi using the name, personally I dont think much of it, too much like Tony O'Connors nickname. And after you "turned to them" Im afraid that Fonzi kept on spouting the name for the rest of the match!!!
