Right Lads and Lassies. Here is your chance to vote for player of the year. If you cannot vote here there will be paper versions of this vote available at home games and travelling buses for the rest of the season. For arguement sake I have put up the names of the players who have been around since the first game of the season. If you vote for other, please add the name of the player in a seperate post on the thread. For more information contact myself, GalwayFrancis or Patrick Dunne. Final votes will be taken after the weekend of the 18th of November.

P.S. can we keep this to Galway fans only please. Thank you.

I voted for Billy. Haven't been at as many games as I'd have liked but he's been top notch practically every time.

Gaaaaargh. I'd almost blocked all memory of his former employers from my mind.

Good to see he's not being eliminated on performance related reasons alone anyway.

it has to be alan gough, without him we would only be middle of the table, he has saved us at least 10-12 points this season.

SUPER KEEPER

Bizarrely enough Slab's clear top scorer as well!

I think all of us know he is capable of playing far better than he has this season. He may well be top scorer there is a perception that he could try harder.Personally, I cant understand it. but perhaps if Russller was on the pitch a bit more he could shine.I think he could benifit from more accurate delivery.

I think all our front and wide players would benefit from John Russell being included, not just Alan Murphy.

I voted for Derek O’Brien. I know Alan Gough is going to win it and I can’t argue with that, but I think Derek has had a good season and deserves a showing in the voting. There’s been a lot of ill-considered long ball stuff this season and Derek has never engaged in that. He always tries to do something with the ball, and I know he doesn’t always succeed, but he does try. He’s taken a lot of criticism this season which I think has been harsh.

I will be locking this thread on the 11th of this month (this saturday) rather than what was previously stated.

Goughie has been a brilliant servant for us. To get practically one out of every two votes cast is a very convincing verdict - even if I thought there were one or two who OVER THE COURSE OF THE WHOLE SEASON who were consistently excellent.
