I am as disgruntled as anyone about the events of the last few days. In fairness, i really think the Irish fans have always responded when the ****** has been kicked out of us. Landsdowne is a proud old place, would hate to see the old stadium go out in such a bitter manner, with irish fans boo-ing their own team. Lets give the team a good oul shout and let them prove themselves for once and for all. Fook staunton out after the game - win, lose or draw so that progress can be made in the long term. Lets not let ourselves down by stooping to behavior that belongs at english league grounds. we have given great support to our team over the last 2o years, and have had high's as well as lows. I know if i were playing for Ireland after last saturday's debacle, and i came out to a landsdowne roar, I would fookin well tear in to them czechs. I have no doubt the team will want to repay the fans - lets give them a fair crack at it. This will be one of the last times our anthem will be played at landsdowne, so lets put some gusto into it. lets give the czechs a reminder about how it used to be. I do not for one second think that the team or the fans will surrender. C'mon Ireland - we are irish - not english.

Fair Point Billy, i think most will agree. It's the prospect of another humiliation that worries me. What will happen then? Scares me to think of the crowd reaction. Nonetheless, i'll be there, getting behind the team, praying that Saturday was a once off nightmare.

We'll know exactly where we stand on Thursday morning. Fingers crossed til then...

From my 1st game in Lansdowne[ v Spain 3 3] to last Saturday, its been some rollercoaster.I love my country, I love my team, but the time for tough love arrived V Cyprus.Staunton is out of his depth to an alarming degree.Qualification is out of the question, maintaining our current seeding of 4th should be a priority for 2010.A good result on Wednesday will only prolong the agony, ie securing his position and DH Delaney.Lance the boil now, or We're on the one road will be replaced with We're on the road to nowhere
