No hardly even mentioned it!

Scully was in studio so maybe they didn't want to show it?!

Raf's goal v Athlone was nominated for Goal of the Month though!

Raf's goal was more crappy goalkeeping than anything else judging on a solitary viewing

No hardly even mentioned it!

what kind of fools are they at all? the biggest attended match in the el last weekend and a title 6-pointer - we should of got loads of talk, betcha if rovers won, scully would of been going on about it for ages

Its a shambles that they were talking about the Ireland v Cyprus match of all things for a few minutes and never mentioned the Galway v Hoops game other than reading the result.

They ddi the exact same last tim we won in June aswell. With 4000 there and a good game it would have been better to watch than any other game on last night-all of which were crap. It's pointless showing GUFC v Monaghan,Athlone etc and then not showing a GUFC v SRFC!

so what the hell were their cameras doing - recording in case they get the right result for scully!

and as you have said the biggest el crowd of the weekend - not a mention

Why didn't the Marketing Group in the eircom League make sure that TV3 showed extended highlights of a top of the
table clash with a near capacity crowd, surely this is what the FAI/Eircom League want to be advertising and not empty terraces.

all complaints to info@tv3.ie

Its only because Scully was there that it wasn't mentioned

It was an RTE van that was there so I dont they would give the tape to a compeditor. Also someone told me it was actually a guy from TG4 (Suil Eile!) that was there. That said I dont think it was a good way to spend our licence fee if they were not going to show the feckin thing. The FAI takin over the League better improve this kind of thing (even though we'll be on it every week next season playing in the top flight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Couldnt believe that alright. That's twice there has been cameras there for our games and no coverage. Can someone find out who exactly recorded the games?

Thanks

it seems to me that ever time rovers have been beaten the games haven't been shown on ELW. maybe he has it in his contract that they cant show rovers losing while he's there

I thought the club were recording the games and giving the tapes to the media ??? I was looking forward to seeing extended coverage of a packed house watching a top of the table 1st division clash.Would this not have been a great advertisment for the league.tv3 have shown games from terryland all season and now they decide not to show the biggest game all season.
The fai need to produce a weekly magazine show to showcase the league in a professional manner. The marketing of the league is and always has been a joke, and this needs to be adressed now!

Didnt TV3 say that if the clubs recorded and edited there matches to something like a 3 minute slot that they would show them? How much are the club paying the guy that is doing all this work? surely they are entitled to be refunded some of the costs from TV3 if they dont live up to the deal they set out themselves?

To vote for Raf for goal of the month email sports@tv3.ie in the subject line type SEPTEMBER GOAL OF THE MONTH.In the message vote for goal 2 Raf cretaro Galway United.
I would also encourage everyone to complain to tv3 for not showing the biggest 1st division game this season.

It wasn't the top goal so you shouldn't vote for it.

But he plays for UTD so who cares?I like to see GUFC winning that includes the goal of the month!

Then it's no different to those abhorrent You're a Star shows where people are encouraged to vote for the local rather than the best one, which is about as idiotic as the programme itself.
But Derek's goal not being shown last night enraged me!!

your mans goal for derry was by far and away the best goal - chipping the keeper and he wasnt that far off his line! rafs on the otherhand was from distance and bounced 7-8 yards from goal - keeper already diving - keeper error - should have been saved - fairplay to raf and all - to go for it from distance

while limerick were on a run top of the table at the start of the season they didn't show a single game on eircom weekly so i stopped watching it.

Terry

Well it was up to your club to record, edit and send it to them so it wasn't TV3 fault for not showing ye.

didn't realise it was up to the clubs, but in the fai cup when we knocked out the holders drogheda (which was a big result for us) they just showed a quick clip of the goal and moved on.

In all fairness there are no gantry facilities in rathbane hence no coverage.
