We'll need to hype this one even more than Rovers game.Rovers are a bigger name than dundalk.Beating Limerick 5-1 before the rovers game helped sell tickets so we need to get a good result against Harps. Is there any chance of selling tickets somewhere in west county Galway?

I work in Barna Hardware. I'm sure my boss would be happy to sell tickets. What does he need to do to sell tickets?

We have to start advertising this game now. It is again directly in competition with a rugby match, but this time it is against harlequins from england. This match is also an all ticket match and there sale is already on and running well from what I here. If people have already bought tickets for the rugby they are going to buy tickets for the footie as well, so lets get this going.

GUISA Saigon, is there an outlet in Spiddal that could sell tickets ?
If anyone else here works, or knows of, a country outlet that can sell tickets, please let me now.

Even if the tickets aren't available for thursday ye could still advertise them and say that ye are taking names in advance to guarantee that ye get enough tickets to guarantee yer entry. If its anything like last friday the demand for the tickets for the home supporters will be huge, which minimises the amount Dundalk will get.

they should at least put an announcement on the official website re all ticket game
advertising this game before the finn harps game, theres a big danger of the players etc being distracted for the harps game.it nearly happened against limerick 2 weeks ago,i believe this saturdays game will be harder then limeick given our record up there.a draw will probably not be good enough.
i realise why the club has to do it though with conns european game etc but its still not good i dont think.
This game won't sell out and - like the Rovers game on Friday - people who show up will get a ticket at the ground.
No one said anything about the thing selling out, its about keeping up the good vibes going around the town and rural areas and getting more and more people into the habbit of going to terryland.
Point taken Terry. Selling tickets the week before games is never a bad idea.

will do so

scratch that, unfortunately the S&S club at work are set to a certain budget and the rugby got in before us. This is a pity since they sold 60+ tickets themselves. Looks like these people will be going to the sportsground this time round !

I work in Eurospar in Carraroe. There were a good few from out here in at the shams game.
Wouldn't be a problem selling tickets for the match.
There were 15-20 people that i know of that would have gone to shams game if there had been a minibus. May not be as easy to fill a bus for this game but worth a try
When i get hold of the pdf of the match posters for the game i can stick a note at the bottom saying that there is a bus organised. I'll organise the bus when i get some tickets sold.
Hurry up with the pdf though the sooner the better. I'll also put a notice on radio na gaeltachta about bus and all that. Are some supporters back lettermore and that if my memory serves me

I havent heard how they are selling but theres definetly a buzz about town. Everyone I meet is on about the game, some people who dont go to many games are referring to United as we!

dundalk look like they will have up to 300 fans while the sales in galway have picked up and it looks like the same crowd as the rovers game.So the message is get ure ticket NOW or risk not getting in!

got my tickets tuesday in the square inn, athenry. the ticket books were half empty at that stage - they were ready for use right beside the till - seems like lots of people availing of the tickets there
One of the lads in work said he heard the match is sold out? can anyone confirm/deny this? Don't know who his source was.
GuisaSaigon
20/10/2006, 8:43 AM
Definetly not.
GuisaSaigon
20/10/2006, 9:00 AM
not sure yet, but definetly didnt sell the lot.
Its expected the crowd will be along ths same lines as Rovers.Dundalk have sold out their 400 allocation with up to 7 buses travelling.People need to have their ticket & get up their early if they want to get into the stand as ther will be 200 less seats for galway fans.
On another note will everybody start bombarding galway bay fm with best best wishes texts for the team as they seem more bothered by the oval ball.
I promise its the last time I'll ask, but can we have the number again !!! sorry.
0857700000 get all your workmates to do it too.Keith Finnegan is on at the moment so leave it until after 12.
GuisaSaigon
20/10/2006, 9:54 AM
Finnegan said earlier that he'll be talkin about united (and the egg chasing) on todays show.I cant see him mentioning good luck texts, as GUFCT said that would have more chance after 12
