Tonights match afforded me a new emotion. I've been following football since the World Cup in 1986 and tonight, for the first time ever I wanted the opposition to score. I really wanted the Cypriots to add a 6th or 7th. Each extra goal surrendered might have increased the chances of some serious changes being made after this debacle. Nothing will change of course but I can always hope. The refusal to give interviews after the game just highlights the lack of accountability running through the Irish set-up. What a mess. Delaney and his pink scarf are to blame. I mean really what a disaster. Wearing the green jersey has become a hardship not an honour.
