I AGREE WITH SCRAM --- booing a team in the first home game after them gettin a hiding will do nothing for their self confidence which im sure is already at an all time low. If this is going to be a hostile environment it needs to be for the czechs not our own in DUBLIN (I mean ffs cop on!!) The reason this protest is not organised is because the MAJORITY of Irish fans will support Ireland through the Good and Bad times. We are not English, we dont need to act like them and anyone who does would be better served going to Croatia tonight than Landsdowne, we dont need your "Support"

One way to show FAI THAT people are not happy is to hit them in the pocket.
Protest tonight by not buying any merchandise, food or Official Programmes.
That will hit them for a few quid and show that fans wont be ripped off and treated like idiots.
BUY NOTHING IN LANSDOWNE TONIGHT.
Interesting (apart from the fact that most are franchised and won't cost the FAI a penny).
It seems to me that the general thread of the most posters is that you support your team when you are doing well. When you're not doing well, you boycott, boo, don't turn up, protest etc etc.

Would you like me to list the number of England managers and teams booed of the park. I am not talkin about numbers showing up to games - i am talkin about numbers at games jeering booing after negative results etc - In England it happens at National Level and club level as soon as things dont go their way. All im sayin is we need to support Ireland during this difficult time and if people are going to take up seats in our home ground and boo the team they dont need to be there. Thats IT!

get real lads. i don't know delaney but he seems to be improving the way the fai operates and cutting through alot of red tape. yes he got it wrong appointing stan........but u don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. at least delaney made a decision (a wrong one.....but a decision)...the problem on saturday is we had no one to do the same, on the pitch or on the sideline. There is a hell of a lot more to the chief executives job than appointing the manager. Stan has to go.
Delaney clearly knows nothing about international football, you don't hire someone for the job of national coach because they're your drinking buddy. If Delaney had hired a good coach he could have tackled all the other CEO responsibilies in relative peace. Making a wrong decision is sometimes worse than making no decision at all, just ask George Dubya Bush.

Way to make a logical arguement. Niall Quinn (albeit at Sunderland) just appointed an ex player with less management experience than Staunton as manager and is being proclaimed a hero.
Push emotions aside and look at the facts.
*Remove Staunton now and deal with Delaney later.
is that the same Keane who has got all of his uefa recognised coaching badges and worked under the two best managers british football has ever produced:eek:

So you're gonna travel from cark and pay €35 or whatever to turn your back? Nonsense.
Best solution is dont go if you feel that strongly about it.
Also just because you have badges doesnt mean you are a good manager. The great managers never had badges.
KOH
yeah true, but then UEFA never had coaching development plans as good as they have now, look at germany and holland...you cant coach their without one
