The league table for the Eircom League First Divison in today's Irish Times (02/10/06) gave Shamrock Rovers three points for beating Athlone in the FAI CUP thus denying Galway United the right to be top of the table for the first time in years.

It's good to know that the Irish Times' Sports Dept is awake. I'm sure that their table for the English Premiership is correct:rolleyes:

It was probably sour grapes from the only Limerick fan working at the Irish Times :p
