I think it's fair to say our season rests on tonights game. It won't be easy but i'm expecting Town to come through this one even if it takes a replay.

expecting much of a crowd from the Longford boys? Looking forward especially since my local here will be showing it!

What a disaster, was sickened by our performance. Murphy was lucky not to get sent off for a disgusting tackle on Rutherford. Great captains example. No pride or passion from our players and management. Matthews stood their arms folded about as lively as a stuffed goat.

The chances we created came funnily enough from passing the damn ball, knocking it 90 yards to our tall forwards works great. Sick of his hoofball.

Shame about the argument among us fans at the end but some of us are sick of the standards and lack of caring that appears to be on show.

Pride?

it was an absolute humiliation out there. I wont say that Matthews should go but the chairman has to have a word in his ear! Alan Murphy should be banished out of the club the time for excuses is over! Alan(Murphy) I was prepared to give you a second chance but seeing the carryon out of you, I am ashamed to support Longford Town especially when you make a mug out of us with your carry on!

we didnt have the heart at all for the battle- I went to the Athlone Shamrock Rovers game last night- there was 100% more passion out of them than us. The time has come for a new start even if we have to go down to the first division. Everything with the players at the club at present stinks -they just could not care less. Alan Matthews should concentrate more on the affairs of ltfc instead of being on a poxy tv3 morning show as pundit! and for that waster dave mooney i would prefer if he went back to shamrock rovers- when you dont have the right attitude to train how the **** can you bring this forward on the pitch?

very angry, annoyed frustrated supporter:mad: :( :o

After that performance, I have to say it has to be time for Matthews to go. Lack of passion, and strange substitutions. Notwithstanding some issue with Mooney that I'm not aware off (and it can't have been that bad as he started ffs), it was bizarre to bring him off when we were chasing the game. Murphy should've gone, as he was doing nothing against rutherford, and there was always a danger of him following up on his disgraceful challenge of the first half (for which he was very lucky to stay on, he can probably thank Molloy's reaction for saving him).

However, I thought the timing of the protest was off, and I have to say the main protagonists have been waiting for an opportunity like Friday for years - you'd nearly wonder were they happier with that result than a win.
