I've just been reading about REAP. It's a six week educational course which footballers returning from England can do. The Gardai consider applications from it. Darragh Sheirdan thought of the idea and with Eoin Hand has been devolping it. Current Longford Town players Sean Dillion, Seamus Crowe and recent signing Shane Barrett are all graduants of the courses.

REAP was the brainchild of DCU student, Daragh Sheridan and former Ireland football manager, Eoin Hand. Eoin is also the FAI's career guidance counsellor. Daragh, a student of Sport Science and Health at DCU and former Aston Villa player, experienced the trauma of non-selection in his professional football career. As the joint driving force behind the initiative, both are determined that other young players who leave full-time education at an early age to pursue football careers in England are given every opportunity to reinvent themselves.

Press Release (http://www.dcu.ie/news/press/p0702a.html)

Fair play Darragh.

Sure, everyone knows that that under pressure from two forwards is the time to dummy a header 10 yards from goal don't they?
