Animal, thats all i can say.
Wonder what the odds on Alonso scoring this season from his own half were after yer man cleaning up with the Luton game last year at 500-1

Terrible goal.
Harper looks like he's crawling across the floor.

remember seeing liverpool specials at start of season. Alonso was 200/1 to do same. Thought to myself, some plonkers will probably bet it & give handy money to bookies. Now who feels the plonker:mad:

Doubt he would have , I'd say the man can barely run at the moment
Yeah, nowhere near a great goal. If the keeper stands up he saves it.
His goal last year was 100 times better

The keeper was at the other end of the pitch for his goal against Luton! He just had to aim between the posts & once he had it on target it would just roll into the goal (as it did)... This one was booted from even further inside his own half with the keeper actually standing at the right end of the pitch! - The vision, cheek & belief to even try it is worthy enough of the plaudits.

Well said, a few posts reckon it was a shoddy goal, I can't believe the begrudgers.
Alonso looks up, pings a great shot, Harper is scampering back to his line as its going over his head, ok he slips which helps the situation but it was a great goal, you can only beat whats put in front of you.

Great though it was, his two goals against Luton were better, particularly the first.
Certainly better than a particular Galactico's effort 10 years ago:cool:

And Nayim's goal for Zaragosa against Arsenal in the Uefa or Cup-winner's cup final in the early 90's was better than any of them.

Not a good goal just sh**e goal keeping. God help us if you local teams keeper allowed that in you'd drop him. ( Alonso's )
His goal was class ... executing that is a lot harder than it looks. The reaction of other professionals (playing and retired) tells you how good a goal it is.
