GUFC have won their last two away games and are at home again on SATURDAY (not Friday) against bottom club Kilkenny City.
The top three other Clubs all have to come to Terryland before the season ends so our destiny is in our own hands.
Dundalk could be a bigger threat than Rovers. Nevertheless, we seem to do better against the top Clubs rather than the bottom ones.
The bottom line is we must bury Kilkenny on Saturday. The players must stay alert for the whole 90 minutes (not 85) and all of them should be on the pitch at the final whistle.
It's now or never....

i agree, with 7 games to go and only 4pts off top, its looking good - a nice 3/4 goal win on friday.... wooops... saturday would be nice

7 games?Do we not have 9 or ten?
Our next 2 games are at home to Kilkenny and Monaghan.Nothing but 6 points will suffice if the title is to stay in Connacht. After that we have Limerick away followed by home games against Rovers and Dundalk with an away trip to Harps in between.GUFC always finish strong but are usally to far off the pace at thi stage. If we want it it's there. As paddy said-OUR TIME IS NIGH!!
COME ON UTD!!

Bold relates to six-pointer games
Francis EVERY GAME is vital .There is no point beating Rovers,Dundalk and Harps and losing or drawing the rest of them. There is a huge problem both on and off the field at United when it comes to over confidence and complacency and that has shown this year especially. We should be aiming for maximum points in all games.

we definitely need to try and take maximum points from all games. i think that the harps away game between rovers and dundalk at home could be a potential banana skin. nobody likes goin up to ballybofey, even the team don't like it and it has proved to be a difficult place gor us to go

if they are serious about winning the league/getting promotion a solid home win is required on saturday
how many draws have we got on the back of few victories against the lesser teams in this league - time for that to change - and the concession of late goals
While I have some sympathy for sitting back on leads in places like Cobh and to a lesser extend in Kildare, it is absurd if we should need to resort to this at home against the likes of Kilkenny.
