View Full Version : Common sense prevails - G&DL merge with GU
Eoin Hand, Manager of Football Support Services at the FAI welcomes the recent announcement of an amalgamation between the Galway & District League and Galway United. There is no change to the status of Terryland Park, it remains in control of
a group of trustees.

Galway United pay the G&DL a monthly amount to cover the considerable
expenses of running the facility (eg pitch maintenance, ESB, etc).

its great news for the club because now we can actually get a few decent young fellas from around galway county, instead of just kids from mervue and salthill.

yeah kian's a good player supposedly, well he must be if he has played with the irish team but there is a lot of other fairly decent players with the G&DL team. it is obviously our best source for young players.
I wonder will Skee want the kids leaving salthill though he seems to be tryin to send lots of them to england
