What if Roddy does crap though, can he sack himself! Is the first time a manager/chairman has ever occured in Irish or English football?

Ron Noades was manager/chairman at Brentford two seasons ago. Done well, but had a good side, e.g. Herman Heridiasson (sp?) the current Ipswich Town defender. Ended up sacking himself. At least Rod won't be able to complain about lack of transfer funds.
from www.sports.com (http://www.sports.com/irl/football/news/2001/07/06/sIRL01OTk0NDIzMzQzOQ.html)
looks like roddy is joing for a 4 week period as a "consultant manager"
my favourite quote from the article
Collins is happy nonetheless to have been given the chance to help out the club he sees as the sleeping giant of Irish football.
you what we are talking about Drogheda here!!:D
Best quote is:
The Cabra man has a long-standing affinity with Drogheda and regularly fished in the area with his father as a youngster,.....
;)
or this bit
But this is the chance to make a real difference and get a team outside of Dublin into that upper echelon and contending for trophies
upper what roddy
