Many teams like the swiss, northern eire, even Latvia when they made if to euro 2004 have been successful because of the ability to change things up in a team of not well none players

I think we have been soooooooooo predictable in the last 4 years its getting to be a real problem

Before the french and swiss games in dublin the two coachs of these teams practically spelled it out to kerr before the games .e.g doherty coming on after a while up front ..long ball

any team just have to put 2 men on duff...hes out the attack and game over

I think we really need a ballsy manager who can use these new hungry players like the north have done.

Stan at less is tryin this newcastle kid.

We really need to stop picking the same players like kilbane morrison kavangh carr doherty o shea.

new blood is needed , friendlies and new tactics

some new guys

G mahon

ronnie o brien (put on all 4 o ' briens to confuse teams :o)

I reckon that could be a good tactic, we could field 4 O'Briens, two Reids, a couple of Mahons, two Doyles and get Duff to change his name to Kilbane...

The opposition would end up chasing shadows lads :D

as soon as mc geady and duff grace the wings and steven reid unleashs a little of his club for(listening robbie?) there will be a little bit of pace and hence suprise factor to our game.

will it ever happen? probably not

I really believe Stephen Reid can change things for us and is our dark horse here, no pun intended, I believe he should be playing in the hole behind our front 2. He is strong, pacey and a wicked shot, he needs to be picking up the pieces around the opposition penalty area just as Pirlo, Gerrard, Shweinsteiger and Xabi do for there teams. ;).

We need to stop playing players by rep (eg O shea) or at least play them in their best positions (O Shea was always best as centre back)

We need to do what Mick Mc Carthy did in the croatia friendly waaaaay back in 1996 - try as much young blood as we can (Considering he was inheriting a new Irish team, much like Steve is)
