The only thing that disgusted me more than the death threats to Neil Lennon last night was the complete lack of sympathy shown towards him. I was listening to a phone in on a Belfast radio station and was amazed at the number of callers who seemingly condoned the threats him and his family.

Having said that, the two main offenders were two women who couldnt understand why he couldn't defect and play for the Republic. I bet he would jump at the opportunity.........

If people ringing into Belfast radio stations are anything like the general level of intelligence you get on dublin late nite phone ins i wouldn't take too much notice of it.

We had the idiotic booing of former & perceived current glasgoe rangers players at lansdowne road & while obviously not on the level of death threats shows we not squeaky clean on this issue in the Republic.

IMO the celtic & rangers rivalry generates this bigotry.
