I'll assume by that comment that your glad the Jackpot wasn't won and you're hoping that you'll be luckier next week.

...if he won the jackpot we would all miss his desiccating wit on the subject of the lotto.

Jim,

just 'cos you're in 'UCC' don't mean you have to impress us with big words all the time :p

an average of 3.9 letters to the word hardly constitutes 'big' especially when your reply's average was 3.8.

Would Bernie give a prize to anyone who used words with 8, 19, 22 and 26 letters in a single post ?

Dead right Joe.

Flaming University toffs , who do they think they are.

Prizes for big words.

Quite frankly I'm flabbergasted. (13)

I know a couple:

'antidisestablishmentarianism', and 'wheelbarrow'.

Jesus, these Lotto postings do get odd.

I'm taking all your names for tickets in future you know.

We all know Bernie isn't the man who gives out the prizes, isn't that right Bernie, wink, wink, nudge, nudge!

If we're going to be using big words from now on, perhaps we should refer to the "Lotto" by it's proper name, i.e. Cork City Football Club Lottery". This would give an average of over 5 letter a word. We could also have a helicopter as a prize.

The Cork City Football Club Lottery is the proper name for the pre-match tactical plans of grunter the great. To use it for anything else would only cause confusion.

I believe the phrase 'Cork City Football Club Lottery' is also now copyrighted.
