Athlone Town v Kilkenny City = Home win.

Shelbourne v Longford Town = Home win.

Sligo Rovers v Bohemians = Home win.

Don't put it past Bohs to get a result in Sligo (I know we haven't scored against them this season), Alan Caffrey will have them well up 4 it.

Just still hopeful it'll come off, at least get all tomorrow nights games correct so it can make Saturday's game a bit more interesting for me:D.

Might have a fun bet on 5 Premier Division draws, it happened one night last season.

I remember that.

Gonna take Pats @ 15/8 (19/10 @ VC but theres none around here!)to beat UCD tonight. Thats the biggest price we've been for this fixture in some time. Now that Rutherfords out, the team is a bit stronger and can build on Monday night

Pats @15/8

There's a VC on Baggot St. :) Free sambos too for heavy hitters...

Happened on two consecutive weekends in 1999/00, I remember. UCD were the only team to win both times, and we caught up loads of ground on those ahead of us and ended up qualifying for Europe. :)

Modest bets on Waterford and UCD, but I think Longford have a real chance of holding Shels scoreless and that's the main bet of the weekend.

It's worth using this point to illustrate the importance of knowing the team news before placing your bet. People have asked why my weekly preview of the games goes up so late in the week when the odds have often been available since Wednesday...and that is why. Sligo with Flash, Kudozovic and Hughes are an entirely different proposition than without that trio.

I suppose it's not that important if you are placing fun accumulators for small money - but anyone betting lumpy singles (the only way to make it pay in my opinion) should really have the team news straight. I can assure you most bookies pricing this game do not even know the three players mentioned, and this is where the specialist punter can get his edge.

Sligo will of course win 4-0 now and make an utter mockery of my point!

Just got slighlty over 9/5 was not planning to have a bet but that great odds

Gutted I missed this lads. It was mentioned to me but was too busy to get a bet on! :(
Had a good night on 0-0 in Belfield and Waterford, who I should've had more on as I said I'd have a decent bit at 11/8 but only had 1pt.

The drinks are on Sligoman no doubt. Must've been great at the game when Hughes scored so near the end! :D
