hi ya not really posted on this forum before but would just like to say clinton would have been ideal to either start or bring on on saturday .i dont know why steve and quite a few posters on her dont like him but he always trys with ireland,so what he doesnt know the national anthem i think he could of made the difference on saturday.by the way im a crystal palace fan so i am a bit biased
p.s while were on the subject mark kennedy has been palaces best player by a country mile this season any takers:D ;)

Agreed. I think Morrison should have started or at least come on as a sub. Elliott needs to rediscover his scoring form at club level before he gets another chance

I would have put Clinton on instead of Elliott... Clinton has more of a presence about him, and I think he might have had some joy in the air in their box. Certainly Dunne was winning a few headers when he came up for corners and free kicks, so I think Clinton would have been worth a shout.
Don't forget he has scored some decent goals for us in last few years, for example against the Swiss in Basle.

Clinton would have just fallen on his arse and been caught offside all the time.

They were weak in the air at the back and elliott & Keane weren't going to exploit that, Big Clint or even dare I say the Doc might have got us something, it might not be pretty but 15 minutes to go it was a better bet than a like for like swap. Unfortunately I think it shows Stan's naievity and lack of tactical awareness that he didn't ever deviate from plan A.

I was thinking exactly the same, Clint or the Doc could have done some damage in the air and was expecting someone bigger than Elliott. Having said that I dunno if it was down to Stan or not as he had been ejected by then I think.

It was probably worth a shot to bring the Doc on but there would have been uproar on this forum if that happened :D

True enough, you can't please all the people all the time. ;)
As Big Ron Manager says, "that's what management's about kid, you got to make a decision" :D

Clinton doesn't give a toss and its obvious when he plays. In a time where we need committment and passion to compensate for lack of talent, he is not required.

Hopefully in time, it will be Shane Long coming on, not Morrison or Elliott (you can write Morrison off, his time came and went... Elliott... jury still out)
