The World Champions scored their three goals in the first half but Ireland more than matched their illustrious opponents in the second half. Irish captain Ciara Grant had a great chance to score on 73 minutes when he cropped up unmarked at the back post but she headed Olivia O’Toole’s cross just wide from six yards

:rolleyes: If we compared womens to mens football, then the USA would be the best team in the world, and half the Middle Eastern nations wouldnt have teams. Not to mention the quality of the game would go down. Though I agree on one thing, if both of the teams are about proportioned to their men's squads, we could be in for a thrashing
