the obvious frontt two for villa will be Kirwan and O'Connor.....if delahunty doesnt return then barry ryan and pat lawlor will fight it out for third choice.....but ryan will probably get a game with the oscar traynors

Lads as the season has just started wondering what is the best eleven in the league? tis very hard to call i must say!!!
Also who is the most under-rated (imo definitely donal duggan)?
Who is the most over rated (definitely chalky like)?

I woundn't think is his over rated..
I have played with him a number of times and he has been outstanding.
He is strong and a good leader,Never stops encouraging, and a center half that scores goals aswell..Always give 100%...Maybe when a nippy center forward runs at him it can cause him a few problems but apart from that he's great IMO.:ball:

Tony Scully has as much natural talent as anyone in the league. He would be in my TSDL 11 every time. I would only pick Ian Barnes if he was on the wing. Clonmel's persistence with playing him in the middle makes no sense to me but what would I know.

What about Ray McMahon with St.Michaels.
He's handy enough.

Only seen Ray Mac once r twice but you couldnt compare him to the likes of the Scullys. Not a bad player though.

I had only seen Ray McMahon in a couple of big cup games and Inter league games and didn't think much of his performances but in the second half of the Saints /Bridge game he ran the show, not the best player in the league on the ball but puts himself about really well, great engine!. Davy Ryan was also a class act. Great feet.

Find it hard to believe that you havent got Ted O Connor on that list.while he has been quiet over the last couple of seasons, he is definitely onre of the most natuerly talented players in the league. and dont forget.....was being played out of position for the ladt three seasons

i think ted o connor is as good center back or center mid as anyone in the league plus i heard he wanted to play center back. so he was hardly out of position.
he,s probably the best natural goalscorer though however i heard he didin,t want to play oscar traynor.

Was at the game, and yes he played very well and didn't seem out of place amongst breen and walsh, for a man who I didn't think ever played soccer. He ruffled their feathers a bit. But lets not get carrried away with an oscar traynor team just yet. Obvioulsy the hurling is over for the time being, but will we see him as soon as it starts again ! hardly !!!
