Please provide the block booking details of the "fan" willing to give up an Ireland ticket for a GAA game.

1st of all he may not be a blockbooker
2nd - maybe he cannot afford to travel or something has come up which means he cannot travel
3rd - whats the problem if its a direct swap - i know plenty of blockbookers who are bigger GAA fans - whats the problem? i assume its also a face value tranx

.. and who said his mate's from Dublin!! could be a Mayo boy!! :)

god gspain you really despise the GAA!!! argument for another day I suppose! :)

I never made any judgement as to where he was from. That's irrelevant in this case.

My issue is that many genuine fans who are blockbookers have no tickets for Stuttgart and are travelling anyway. We have another thread on fans looking for tickets.

If he wants GAA tickets then join a GAA club.

BTW I'd feel exactly the same if he was trying to swop a Stuttgart ticket for a rugby ticket.

not every point there was directed at you gspain

previous poster presumed it was a dub - I understand you didnt make this presumption.

my point is that this person may have bought off eventim and may not be a bb. Even non-BB should have the right to buy tkts when they become available.

plus, many GAA clubs had their allocation for the semi final slashed - meaning a scarcity of tickets, which has left many club members scrambling for tickets.

At the end of the day there are a lot of people who are sportsfans and do not limit themselves to one code.

i shouldnt have to explain this but i will

he is a block booker thru the eL tickets scheme but didnt get a ticket in the "draw". he got his stuttgart tickets thru an fai sponsor and got 1 more than he needed

he's a member of a local GAA club too and goes to all dubs games
he was entered in a draw for semi final ticket but didnt get one so he's willing to help someone out if they can help him out.

Casso - no worries
Superdub - pm-ed you back earlier

gspain - hope that puts ur mind at ease

In fairness, there's plenty of genuine Dublin fans that can't get a ticket for the Mayo game too.

No Mayo fans in Croker then? As you say, there's 10 times more demand for Dublin tickets when they're doing well so it does leave a lot of genuine fans without tickets. A premium ticket for the match was sold for €810 on Ebay this morning.

Fair enough re Mayo fans, but 60,000 sky blues on Sunday probably don't know where Parnell Park is...
