According to charles thompson he's out or he presumes he's out.I thought he was just suspended as a manager but can still play although I don't know how that's going to work and I don't think hunt's fit

He ain't suspended as anyone!
Whats the point in slagging fellow hoops for the amusement of the boez ****s on here?
It's not the first time either..
As for the game, the pressure is on Boez, they have to win and are largely expected to win. The longer it is 0-0, the better and despite whatever team Boez put out they should in theory beat us.....but that's not necessarily the case :ball:

Fair point, still think farrelly brings a lot to the bohs midfield though. He is a very good passer and is well able to score goals and is bohsfans 100% sure he isn't suspended as a manager due to him getting sent off against bray for protesting about the fourth goal

Boez have to win and are largely expected to win.
Expected to win by who?? This year,
Pats were expected to beat us: Oh dear
Drogs were expected to beat Limerick: Oh dear
Cork were expected to beat Longford: Oh dear
Nobody can predict the outcome of a Rovers-Bohs game, ever. You can't predict it in the league, so you certainly can't predict it in the cup in a car-crash style, one-off grudgematch.

dfx is right, they are expected to win as they are all full-time professionals in the premier and have just beaten this years champions but I think this will suit us as you couldn't blame them for being cockey especially against a first division team full of kids.As illustrated in the recent programs, our boys are up for this game and know the importance of it to the fans and if they go into the game with the right attitude I think we will win

Lets be realistic, unless they fold they'll win the league.
nshoop, you're talking more rubbish. Shels may be favourites but they're behind Derry with a game more played so they're hardly a shoe in for the league.

Let's be realistic, they've taken 1 point from their last 6. Not all their opponents cave in against them like UCD, Waterford, and Sligo. Unlike other leagues, the NL Premier Division is fiercely competitive, which usually goes down to the wire, and rarely is the title retained.
We are a shoe-in for our own league though :D
Sorry neutrals. :o

Sure it's just like the way we were supposed to collapse in the second half of last season. "Any weekend now, the run's gonna come to an end...."
Presuming you win 'that other league' this year I wonder if they'll count it as 16? ;)
15 + a half!! :D

The most important aspect of this game for us is that it provides a much needed and well deserved break from the monotony of Division One football. If we even come close to creating an upset it will be a bonus. I think our players realise that they are not under the same kind of pressure a Rovers side normally would be in a game like this. They are a fantastic young squad with a great attitude. We've nothing to loose and everything to gain here. Obviously none of us want to see us get a hiding but, thankfully, our defense is very strong (six goals conceeded in 22 games isn't bad, regardless of the quality of the opposition). My only concern is if we fall behind early on, as I just can't see any way back into the game if we do. We simply simple don't have enough quality in two thirds of the pitch so I just don't know where the chance are going to come from. But as mypost says, the longer it stays 0-0 the greater our chances - it's the Cup, so you never know. That said, if I had to call it now I'd go for 1 or 2-0 to Bohs.

We went behind early to Bohs in the away games last season, and took 4 points from 6. Given the nature of the match, and our record at Fortress Tolka, I won't regard it as a shock if we win.

Derry are a very good side but shels are absolutely class, way to good a standard of football for our league and with byrne and crowe or even o'neil up front they'll hammer goals past anybody. The blip had to come but as I said before the only way I can see them not winning the league is if financial difficulties come into play and give your opinion but don't disgard mine totally please,we're all entitled to one,koh

Who's as good as them? They have a great defence with hawkins and heary, hawkins out being the reason they lost to the scum, fantastic midfield, ndo is top-class,cahill has really found his place and is brilliant on the wing and what can you say about their strikers, absolutely lethal.I'm sorry but when shels are at full stenght they can hammer anybody,it's quite scary but understandable as they had all the cash and it's finally paying dividends.

Yeah, if it wasn't for the fact that they were eliminated from the first round of the Inter-Toto Cup by a Danish team they would surely have advanced all the way to the UEFA Cup Final:rolleyes:
Seriously though: are you a wind-up?

Nah, mypost probably thinks it will finish 4-0 to Rovers..:D
As for Derry/Shels, it depends on whether Shels can regain the form pre-Caark. The 6-0 performance against UCD was convincing enough that they'll obliterate the easier games and pick up plenty of points, they just need the form at the time to beat Derry. They could win the league easily.

They were complacent and sloppy in the away leg and got what they deserved. They have the proper attitude in the league as illustrated by their demolition of ucd.I can't stand shels and ollie and I know that they only have this team cause of all their cl money but the fact is that it's a class team and if only they had taken the intertoto seriously we could have more co-ef points and more praise for the league
