Correct, shels but the grounds were always going to be a sticky wicket and probably should have been dealt with at the very beginning. The independant guy might not work, there was one involved at the beginning and he came up with nothing conclusive.

You are correct on him giving no directive but the idea was to start with things that were common so the whole thing would get a momemtum, which it did,but surely everyone new that ramming things down either sides throat was a no go from the begining and as I said before Newtown had no issue with either ground being the premier ground as long as this was arrived at impartially and not just because one side or the either thought theirs was better.

Herberstown Are Playing Premier Football Next Season.
I Was Told Last Night From An Hill Celtic Comittee Member That They Will Be Staying In 1a.

Imo Herbertstown Are Not Ready For Premier Football And Will Find It Very Difficult

Herbertstown Vs Carew Park On Thursday Will Remain Off

Does this mean that Hill/Park/Herberstown fixtures will be played starting this weekend?

Was Hill Celtics appeal turned down by the munster council?

Surley it will only stand to herbertstown playing at a higher level..ok maybe they might not get very many points but it will give players and officals of their club an idea of what standard is required.
if like has been posted they have a good set up then all goes well for the other clubs going to play games there.
i hope -town will do well and will be an interested neutral to see how they get on in lim prem

We're looking forward to it PlasticPitch.

It's going to be a difficult season for us but we're ready to give it our best shot.

We will definitely have to raise our standards but it will be good for us to play the best teams in Limerick every week - everyone wants to test themselves against the best at some stage.

Hopefully we can do a Wigan ;) :D

I look forward to seeing the setup out there and wish ye the best if ye are promoted. I just have one worry I'd like to run by you if you dont mind.

Are ye going to do a Charleville - not be anyway competitve during th GAA season, giving walkovers or putting out second string teams when a team has travelled all the way out or not bothering to turn up when a team is togged out and ready at home. This hasnt done Charleville any favours and most people in Limerick are looking forward to the day they get relegated.

Just as a matter of interest - how come your not in the desmond league

I don't play GAA and there's a good few others on the team that don't either... so, although we lose a few players now and then, we have the squad to cope fairly well.

Last year, we were unbeaten from the beginning of Decemeber or thereabouts until the last game, so I think that shows we were putting out a strong team every week - even by the time the GAA season had started again. Also, we didn't give any walkovers last year or not turn up for any games...

Dunno why we're not in the Desmond league ? Maybe the club feels the standard is better in city league ? But I'm just guessing :)

The setup is very good out in H-Town... pitch is level and there's a good surface... home and away team dressing rooms and there's even a can machine ! :p

p.s. fill that can machine with heineken and give yerselfs a competitive advantage. theres a few players around town who wont be able to walk past that on a sunday morning
