Pathetic. i can only presume its because he plays for Chelsea and the bar stool brigade typical of Ireland Supporters all follow Manchester Red Sox.
Sickening. That "team", "manager" and "fans" do not represent my country.

I think this has been discussed earlier that he was booed not for who he plays for but due to his reputation as a divrer and cheat. Plenty of Chelsea players have played before and not been booed. Also Ronaldo has been booed as has Baros so your Red Sox Man utd slur does not add up. In fact you are in fact guilty of using your Premiership bias influencing your post. Are you an ABU by any chance.
Did not agree with the booing anyway but it was not to do with Chelsea in my view.

Jesus are people so obssesed with the Premiership that this has spilled into Landsdowne.
Why would Irish fans boo Robben for diving when he had never dived against us?

Exactly...I don't buy the whole diving explanation....If he had done a Bobby Pires on us and was constantly play-acting I'd have no problem joining in cause he'd deserve it. But booing a player purely on what club he plays for (in England ffs) is just plain embarrassing and I would hazard a guess that this doesn't happen at any other international venue around the world...

of course it doesnt. In every other country they support their own Clubs not some foreign league.

Fair enough then why the cheap dig at Man Utd who have nothing to do with this argument. I did not agree with the booing but my point is that it had nothing to do with Man Utd supporters booing a Chelsea player purely because he plays for Chelsea. If that was the case then Czech, Carvahlio, Gallas and others would have been booed also.

Not true, in many of the Scandanavian countries they support the English Premier League. Not saying its right but it does happen so your statment is not true.

So all Irish supporters Supporter Manchester Red sox (sic) then do they. I support Ireland and do not support Manchester utd. I think your posts have all the hall marks of a rant a very few of the hallmarks of a coherent debate on an issue regarding the booking or Robben.

Veering off the point but they also support their own teams at the same time.

and so do some Irish people also. Some Scandanavians support only EPL clubs and some support Scandnavian teams the same as in Ireland.

But the Scandinavians don't carry any club "allegiances" onto the national stage (as far as I've seen)

That maybe so but the original point which Pablo was wrong on still stands. I never mentioned anything about bringing people club allegiances to the national stage. All I said was that other countries do have fans that dont support their own domestic league in favour of a foreign one. Scandanavian fans of the EPL are a clear example of this. I dont think its right but it is a fact.
He was booed after first touch of the ball. Plenty of other players dive so don't see why he different.
I agree was pathetic but only seemed to last for first 10-15 minutes.
I think should boo all opposition Premiership players so no one treated differently.

That's only because it was obvious that early that we were going to be hammered.
