Questions raised about JonBenet murder confession -CNN
Questions are being raised about the confession of a 41-year-old man who claims he killed child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey in the United States ten years ago.
John Mark Karr was arrested in Thailand yesterday and later admitted killing the six-year-old, but he insisted her death was an accident.
Thai police say he confessed to drugging and raping her before her death.
Karr has been charged by the US authorities with murder, kidnap and sexual assault, but US officials are urging people not to jump to conclusions or rush to judgement.
Investigators have pointed out that prosecutors will need more evidence than just a confession, while Karr's ex-wife has told reporters that he was with her in Alabama at the time of the 1996 murder.
Karr has also apparently told the authorities that he picked JonBenet up from school before drugging and raping her.
However, the killing actually happened during the Christmas holiday season and the autopsy on her body returned no evidence of drugs and made no conclusions about whether she was raped.
If you ask me, this guy sees this as an opportunity to get extradited back to the States rather than rot and die in a Thai prison. He's definitely a sick sick bastrad though, and the FBI will have a field day with him and his laptop....all the schools he 'taught' in he left his legacy. He spent a lot of time 'working' in the post tsunami countries also...you can draw your own inferences.
