It's a double header:). What ye think result(s) will be?

3-0 to Sligo in the league game. We can't keep a clean sheet. Bray have Doyle, Keogh & Deans suspended. 1-1 in the cup as it's a once off game we should be able to raise our game for the cup match.

I should be at both games, but to be honest, I'm travelling more in hope than expectation. Wishful thinking aside, I can see Sligo winning the league game 2-0...and then the cup game 1-0. Our lads are finished for the season.

considering we couldnt defend old gates from gypos these days I would be a little more worried than Bray fans seem to think we should be.
Id say 2-1 in the League, wont mention the cup yet, until we see the first game.Hope Choice starts,if he does i reckon we could get a fair few goals.

Can't see us geting anything out of either match the way things are going for us. Just hopeless, He should just stick our 21's out to play - at least they actually can play football, keep clean sheets and win matches ! They would be a hell of a lot more passionate as well !

I'm not looking forward to the games after seeing our recent performances.

Would like to go but definitely can't for the cup game. Has the league match been moved too.

ye were pretty poor...i expect a lot better next week

Why ?

sligoman
21/08/2006, 10:19 AM
Why ?Probably cos it's the cup an all. Teams seem to lift their performance for cup games, plus, ye had a few suspensions the last game, they should be back now yeah?

BrayUnknowns
21/08/2006, 10:34 AM
yeah they will be back but i can't see anything making a difference being honest

sligoman

yeah they will be back but i can't see anything making a difference being honestI think we'll still win but ye'll probably, or at least should, play better than last time.

We simply must be better than last week, the same again just wont do. It's do or die in the cup, the players are capable of better and its time to find out what we're made of. I'll be sticking a few quid on us for the cup at 20-1anyway:cool: . This trip to Sligo is either going to be the highpoint of the season so far or a new low, a draw would be pretty damn good as well but we should aim for a battling win IMO.

Anyone know if the players signed from Dublin City elible for the match?

Chris Deans
Lee Roche
Gary Rogers

all cuptied for Bray

Yeah saw that in the BP yesterday..... Rogers will be missed most. The only bright note is that we have Pip, Doyle, Tresson and McGovern comnig back.

I really don't see how Rogers is better then Skippy. I mean certain areas of his games is stronger like catching the ball and his kick-outs but he's also slower off his line and if you look at the stats, we're still conceding goals.

BrayUnknowns
25/08/2006, 8:36 AM
Yes were still conceding but it would have been more with Skippy in nets. Skippy is far to error prone, can't kick what so ever, can't come for crosses and the defenders have no faith in him what so ever - hence the reason why Rogers was brought in.

Yes but surely this highlights that even a keeper who is highly thought of in the league can't stop the rot. Clearly it's a defensive problem and a serious one at that. 4 was the most skippy conceded in one game this season and Rogers has the same although the record books say different. I'm just pointing out that unlike popular opinion the goals weren't all Skippy's fault.

I wonder, if Skippy played a stormer in the cup game, would he win his place back as first choice goalie?
