The league game is on this friday night and the cup game is on Saturday night. Unless something dramatic happens to us, Sligo will win both very handy

I'm just going by what deecay said. He said he was talking to a Rovers official(can't remember his name now:o) and he said that's the end of Friday's and that we're back to Saturday's from now. Obviously he was wrong, cheers deecay:D.
So yeah, the league game is on Friday and Cup Saturday.

Probably the reason why M.T. continues with this failed experiment. They seem to relish getting people wound up.
They must see by now that it is not working and that it will never work.
PROMOTE Saturday's and I guarantee the crowds will surpass Fridays.

You’re right Redzer Friday night football isn't working and the fact that the MC continue to have our games on a Friday is idiotic. Like you said if the MC promoted Saturday night football properly instead of this half a$sed approach of just changing the day we would be getting bigger crowds

Why else would the cup game be on Saturday?

Whats the team gonna be on Friday ?
Sean has a few decisions to make in midfield
I havent been at the last couple of games but i presume Faz and Hughes are undroppable?

hughes on the right faz on the left with turner and o grady in the middle
choice and flash up front

Even though O'Hara is back i think he will stick with Dick Brush in goals
Same back 4 as usuall.
Midfield is too hard to call.
O'Grady will start so,and Faz and Hughes are playing brilliant so they will also.
Think Cash and Harpal might be dropped.they worked hard against Drogs but didnt see a whole lot of the ball.So Turner will probably come back into the team.
Up front, back to 2 up there hopefully.Flash and Choice(hope he starts...if he does he will be unstoppable as no defence would cope with him for 90mins.)

i'd go with the usual with harpal&cash on da bench and choice up front but i dunno if sc is gonna start him yet
The Stars
16/08/2006, 2:51 PM
he should start Choice,he knows he is one of the best strikers in the league and you can see his class as everytime he gets the ball there is a buzz around the place, but he is also very good at getting around people and setting up attacks.Just cant wait til he gets his first goal, hopefully it will be on Friday

sc has said several times that ppl need to be patient with choice so i don't think he's in any rush to start him yet. it's class the reception he gets when he comes on tho. i'd say he'll score his 1st goal v longford but hopefully he gets one on friday

3 points is a must tonight. won't make it down from Dublin too see it :( . sooner we get back to the Saturday nights the better. if we play with the commitment shown against Drogs last weekend we should do it. it would be great to put some distance between us and Pats and also close in on the top four.

From Bray website:
Bray hit by suspensions
Defender Chris Deans, midfielder Philip Keogh, and striker Robbie Doyle will miss Bray's game against Sligo Rvs. at the Showgrounds on Friday night as they all serve a one match ban.
Bray Boss Tony McGuirk is hoping that Colm Tresson, who has missed Bray's last two outings with a calf injury, will be fit to travel.
Central defender Brian McGovern, who also had to sit out Bray's last two games with a groin strain, is unlikely to feature this week as the injury probably needs another week's rest.
Bray will probably also be without Wayne Byrne (ankle) and Paul O Reilly (knee).
McGuirk has added recent signing from Dublin city Tony McKeever, and Under-21s defender Willie Murphy to the travellimg party for Friday night's game.
