Stuttgart - anyone need a hotel room near centre?

Anyone still looking for a hotel or stuck to find one near the centre, here's something which may be of use if you move quick.

I had booked two triple and 1 twin (which I think is actually a double) in the Hotel Koehler not far from the central station. After a couple of pull outs we are now able to manage with just the two triples so just today I cancelled the twin/double. If anybody needs a hotel room if you contact the hotel direct via their website http://www.hotel-koehler.com or through http://www.stuttgart-tourist.de you might be able to get it.

The room is €72/night and I had it booked for the Friday, Sat & Sunday nights.

Might have been an idea to offer to transfer the booking before you cancelled it!

I'm sure some wine swigging German will take it now for the wine festival :)

It would certainly have been an idea, sadly one I didn't have in time. :o

I started to review my 4 month old arrangements yesterday, sent the e-mail last night to cancel the room, then had a wee look in here to see what the craic was as the big weekend is getting closer.

Only occurred to me then that some of ye might be able to use it.

So all I can do now is tip you off to a room which will be available but hasn't been since March so you may get the heads up on the winos.
