I need the following information, perhaps some of the
older posters here might be able to help me ?

What colour jersies did the following LOI clubs wear ?

Cork Alberts
Cork United
Cork Celtic
Thurles Town (Blue and yellow ?)
St James Gate (Green and red ?)

Cork celtic were black and gold
cork united (afaik) were green and white. thats just from an obscure wikipedia reference.

I think Cork Alberts was something similar to Cork Citys one now

I know you didn't ask about Limerick City (in the 1980's) but they wore a flashy green and yellow kit.

I seem to remember St James Gate wearing green shorts and white shirts. Lond time ago though, and may have been an away kit.

What about Newscatle United FC from Newcastle West, Co. Limerick? Theey spent a few seasons in the good old League of Ireland in the mid eighties!

Thurles Town Yellow shirts, blue shorts
St.James's Gate wore Green shirt's with red collars and cuffs in one kit
And Red Shirts with green collars and cuffs green shorts and Red socks in another.
And Newcastlewest/United wore Black and white stripes with either black or white shorts ;depending on what season it was; black socks.

From what I can recall, Dublin City FC wore Sky Blue shirts with Navy shorts. My memory of that team is a bit hazy but I remember thinking it was a very radical and original idea for a Dublin-based sports team to have those colours...
