just in from Reuters - At half time during their game with Red Star Belgrade, Cork City players were astonished to find that their dressroom door had vanished.
Valdemere Van Kickeritch, speaking on behalf of stadium management had the following to say.- " Acting on a tip off from Interpol we had no option but to remove the door. We were informed that "should the scenario evolve whereby the visiting side find themselves in the invidious position of being in an irrecoverable position due to the magnitude of the scoreboard differential, then there would arise a strong possibility that their highly voluable and volitile manager, might react in a manner which would create a situation whereby he could seriously damage his foot on the surface of our high security, tungsten re-inforced dressing room door. This abberation could lead to litigation of enormous proportions as his foot might no longer fit in his mouth thus depriving him of his most favoured pastimes."
