Is it on @ Flancare or the Rugger (where ever that is?) ground?

Jeez this is almost as bad as CCFC organisation ;)

Mullologher is being made ready for Europe, and the new pitch needs time to recover.
btw - was out at the ground on Saturday - Things need to get moving at a bit of a faster pace, or we'll be in Tolka yet for the Euro game :(

The Slabs for the rest of the ground are due to arrive in Mullologher within the next 7 days or so. The Main Stand will have all the steps in by Friday week & the seats will be started on within the next week...We could do with your help Macy;)

The seats for the rest of the ground, the new dug outs & the new goal post are all coming from Spain ,I think in mid July... And then it's all hands on deck, so Macy & others we will need your help:D

Most weekends not a problem, and if (as planned) I get a move back down home with work, then again no problem. I think we'll need more than just my help though to get it finished in time!

I'll let you know when we are starting on the seats. We have about 30 people offering their help:) But will they show

Another step was poured today in the Main stand :) 5 to go :( More work was done around the side & top goal for the slabs. I have to say, its going very slow:( But I was talking to the builder & he says it will be completed in time :) :)

Anyone know if it would be possible to get a look at Flancare this evening before the big Super Cup match? Us Cork lads wouldn't mind taking a peek at it.

What is Flancare about? Is the ground sponsored by a company that specialises in taking care of flans? Those strawberry ones are always getting themselves in trouble, and as for gooseberry.

Flancare are the Town sponsors obviously. They are a distribution company who had the forsight to see that Longford Town FC was a club on the up and up.

Its the Clonmel branch of Flancare, or something, that are the sponser. I know the people who started the company in Athlone and thats what they said.
Was hoping it wasnt the Athlone branch that were doing it. Although, open to correction here but, last time - that I can remember - we played ye in the league in Mels ye wore green jerseys with white trim, sponsered by B.C.R. - a shop & petrol station in Athlone!

Think they're some form of refridgerated transportation or storage or both company..... Apparently they've grown a lot in the last few years.

They are a distribution co. and a pretty big one at that. They are building a major distribution centre in Longford over the next couple of years (bigger than Athlone, Ash). Part of the deal was the naming rights of the ground - the first of it's kind in the league.

And I was walking down the Kylemore Road in my Town shirt, and a Flancare lorry honked at me. Nice to know the Town colours are being recognised around Dooblin wha?
