I've got a few questions which I would appreciate if someone would try and clear up for me:
1) Why is there no highlights show for the League of ireland on RTE1 or RTE2? I mean, if live Eircom league games are shown from time to time, why not run a highlights show... And whatever happened to the Soccer Show?
2) What on earth is happening next season with Genesis?
3) What kind of money do EL teams get from TV revenue?
4) Just how ****ed are EL teams in relation to finances? Is it a real possibility that small teams like Monaghan or Athlone could go amateur?
thanks.

Not that I have heard. Have you heard a rumour?
Why do you class us as a small team?

Yeah but most of the money is going to end up with the big teams. It's a case of rich get richer, poor get poorer.

Well, would you not consider Town to be a small team? Sorry if that offended you...
But anyway, I haven't heard rumours or anything but I just wonder how teams like Monaghan can survive with the tiny crowds we attract. If there was a highlights show of the First division we would probably get enough to tick us over on tv money, but I really don't know.

No offence taken because Yes we are a small club but the way things are going to be done from next season on, we are only going to get smaller and Cork, Shels, Drogs and Derry will become bigger.

If a first div club is on highlights show it is because it send up its own tape to TV3 . I THINK each premier division team is supposed to have 1 home game live - thats only 5k!
How on earth are football management games going to cope with 'Delaney's League of Wonderful Delights'?
