Anyone see this, from yesterdays match v Maribor.

The Slovenes won and go through to the UEFA Cup. I imagine Forlan will get a hefty ban.

Just after watching the Materazzi elbowing Sorín video as well, had'nt seen the incident before. I reckon that Materazzi is a right savage, I am a fan of fair physical football where players are alowed to put in proper tackles but this sort of stuff......:mad:

He shouldn't have done it (gave him a clatter) but what an over-reaction by the other Player.Check out rolling around as if he'd been really nailed.

even if someone does get a proper thump in the face they never roll around on the ground.they either lay still or get up and do the same back.

You've got a point there. I know its slightly different but did'nt Roy Keane say something like ``if your'e going to get sent off then you might as well get sent off for something good``.

Cork's Danny Murphy's after hinting at something similar in the paper, after getting a 2 match ban for not a lot he's thinking he should have reacted violently.
