Irish language broadcaster TG4 have announced details of a number of pre-season friendlies that it will broadcast live over the next week to whet the appetites of football fans ahead of the new season.
This Saturday, July 22nd, the first ever match from Arsenal’s new Emirates Stadium will be screened live as the Gunners take on Ajax to mark Dennis Bergkamp’s testimonial. Coverage starts at 4.50pm.
The following day, Sunday July 23rd, SPL champions Celtic entertain Everton at Parkhead at 5.30pm. This is not the first time that TG4’s cameras have been in paradise as they screened their champions league matches there last season.
Then on Wednesday, July 26th it’s back to Celtic Park once again for the Hoops meeting with Manchester United. The sides met last May in Roy Keane’s testimonial and Celtic will be looking to reverse the 1-0 result from that match.
