Does anyone out there know If the Wesley Webb on this year??
If so When is it on and what Teams are in it..

Anyone out there from the Shannon area heard anything.

I take it that this tournament will not take place then.
I'd say it is the first time it hasn't.

What i heard was its goin to be one in the next two weeks!
Each of the 4 shannon clubs is putting two junior teams in....Im not sure if you used to have to pay registration but i think this year you do...No trophy's...etc...All the money made is going towards the ger keane benifit fund!
Thats all i heard....

Draw now made for next week ,if you win through to final you play 3 matches in 3 days.Only problem is 2 clubs included from all clubs and it looks dodgy for Park to field 2 teams.

Is there a reason WHY if you make the final you'd have to play
3 games in 3 days:confused: Its a bit much to ask no!!!

Park A,B or C,Im not sure which they are,went through against Shannon Town A,who were 2 up,after penalties.ShannonTown B went through on penalties 4-3 after a nil all draw.

the other night.. i can only hope for park rangers sake that is not their team for the coming season in the limerick premier league

Im told that is their team and lucky to get them out to play.
Can anyone figure how Shannon Town think that THE FIELD is good enough to grow cabbages on never mind play football on.With all the great pitches in Shannon now this is a joke.Perhaps the fact that it is an old tournament they want to keep to the conditions of the past and have it on a pitch from the 60s,perhaps they should also insist on all players growing their hair or wearing wigs.but for gods sake what am I complaining about didnt they finally scrap the inane "last seasons players only "rule,but that only took 10 years!!

Newtown won 1-0,it was fairly handy,pitch was a joke,1st trophy for new management team,well done to Damien Lindsay and Andy O Mahony and their troops led by Davy Wall.....:cool:

well done newtown , . who did they beat along the way? any convincing performances? 1 nil against a poor park side is no great achievement, but it resulted in trophy all the same

Nobody in Newtown is talking about winning a league.anything can happen with injuries and players away,Damien and Andy will take it one game at a time and see where they end up,they will deffo be paying more attention to the bread and butter rather that national cups.:ball: :
