thinking of changing the Champions league and Uefa cup.....looking for fans opinions

http://www.uefa.com/uefa/Survey/index.html

Some scary questions like 'Q4. Do you believe that the domestic champions of all UEFA countries should have the chance to qualify for the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE?' What are they thinking of doing?

I think they should throw all the sides that didn't win their National League out of the competition

I think they should throw all the Non-League winning sides out of the competition

I said the same in one of my comments.

It should be the champions league not fourth in my league league

they should start the reforms with a by for an EL team into the group stages:P

seriously though.. i dont think there is anything wrong with the current format

To me the champions league should be a competition for domestic champions only. Not teams who came in 2nd third or fourth, regardless of how strong their league is

Agree totaly with that.
A team who finishes 4th in their League should not be in this competition.
Maybe the top 2 in every league in Europe would be better for the smaller teams, like ours in the Eircom League, while still giving it a cup feeling where the underdog can beat the favourite.
No seeding either.A straight knockout, well, maybe a small group first.
Can you imagine how great it would be for the leagues if Barcelona were playing Cork in a Champions league game at Turners.

If they want to include non National Championship winning sides why not include all former winners of the European Cup?

suggested a return to a straight knock out.
forgot to suggest banning runners up 3rd/4th place teams from it.
i supported redistributing the wealth away from rich clubs
i suggested promoting fan ownership/takeovers of clubs, banning financially wreckless teams from European competition
suggested bringin back terracing

in fairness, thats not gonna happen, and would hardly benefit anyone... might make it easier for small national winners to get into the competition but it would be pointless if they were going out and getting hammered by european big guns year in year out. i suggested dumping the inter two bob and making the super cup like a small summer tournament,

also i think getting rid of automatic qualification and seeding for the cl and make everyone go through the qualifying round with an open draw... the same for the uefa cup, would make it a bit more interesting.. with a return to seeding once the make up of the groups were decided to preserve the qualtiy of the tournament...

i agree that 4th place domestic finishers shouldent be entered, but for the bigger leagues, i think the top three is fair enough.. in almost all sports prizes are awarded for first second and third and i dont see why football should be any different

I like the InterToto. Random small clubs from around Europe that no-one's every heard of (like UCD :)) get an extra chance to play in Europe and it harms no-one.
