Saying that they did not get tickets for germany like i did today ?? hopefully will still get them anyway through other avenues

On waiting list .. Basically said too many applications to cater for demand.

Same here. Haven't sourced tickets from any other avenue and don't have a credit card so will have to play the poor mouth now and go cap in hand to some other users on here!

Yes, I'd imagine they are just running through all the applications and sent out a PFO letter to all non-block bookers that applied. I'd say they will start sending the same letter to block bookers who wont get tickets from next week onwards.

Got the same bad news here in Waterford too. I'd well imagine about half of the tickets didn't even see the outside of Merrion Square with them looking after their own.
Was chatting to a fella a few weeks ago, and he swore he had a ticket him and 4 of his mates. When I asked him he said someone in the FAI (does that really stand for Fans Not Important) had them sorted already :rolleyes:

I've heard a few stories from people, who normally wouldn't go to a game
even if it was in ther back yard, having already been assured by friends
of friends in the FAI that they are sorted for tickets.

I'm a Block Booker and rang the Ticket Office today as I had applied for tickets for the match.
I was told that the letters had issued to those who were not on the waiting list and that the Block Bookers would be dealt with in the next 2-3 weeks.
They had 12,000 applications for 5,000 tickets so it doesn't require rocket science:(

In fairness lads the only ones who actually do any work in there are the ticket office! Its the muppets who get personal allocations that end us using them for favours and thus tickets ending up with people who have never gone to a game!

Think letters are coming out to Block bookers this week. I have tickets through eventim so if I have any spares if I get them through the Fai they will go to whoever on here.

I'm a block booker and I got a letter yesterday from the FAI telling me I didn't get any. Very apologetic, over-subscribed, did a draw, I was unlucky not to be picked out blah blah blah.

They said they would keep my name on file in case they got allocated any more!!
