citynet (http://www.eirways.com/citynet/?p=180&more=1)

August 26th has provisionally been set by the eircom League as the new date for Cork City's away game against St. Patrick's Athletic. The clash was originally set to take place this Friday, but the Saints involvement in the Intertoto Cup means that it now has to be refixed.

If the game is rearranged to take place on Monday, August 26th, City will have to play two games in short succession, as they host Bray Wanderers on the previous Friday.

Liam Murphy is now hastily looking to arrange a friendly for his team this weekend. George O'Callaghan (toe) and Gareth Cronin (hamstring) picked up knocks in Friday's opener against Shels, but should both be fit to place UCD on Friday week.

the echo also says that if pat's get knocked out, then the match may be played sooner in mid-week. probably depends on the cup draw and any potential replays there too i'd say

btw strange choice of headline in the echo - 'Saints hand City a free weekend' makes it sound like it's a good thing!
