Is this what we need during the middle of the season. Personally, I think games like this should have been played during the break a few weeks ago.

Might be a good chance for any new players to get a run out but I dont think Sean will take it too seriously

I totally agree with deecay. The Players have just played 3 games in 8 days. And now they are piling another 3 games into 7 days...Dublin City,Peterbrough and a trip to Waterford. Madness !

Anyone remember the other time they came here, we won 1-0 if I remember right, was it 1989 or 1990?? same year and programme style as CHelsea, Dundee and KIlmarnock???

Yikes and i forgot the trip to Bray the Tuesday after the Waterford. Maybe it will the under 21 side that plays Peterbrough.

it would be all the players that dont get starting like Dick Brush,McKenzie,Seanie Kelly,Emlyn Mulligan,Bellew,mixed with a few full timers like Judge,Flash maybe and a few others.
Dont think Sean would risk anyone though.

kinda pointless i think! like last year there will be F all at it....nd we'll probably make a loss money wise, will we?

No I wouldnt think there's any potential for loss. it wouldnt be costing the club anything to bring peterborough over. peterborough are managed by keith alexander who brought lincoln over last year when he managed them.
Could be a small crowd at it but every little helps.

i think he will risk some players like he did last year and it was no coincidence we had our worst run of form around the time of the 2[or 3] mid season friendlys...they are pointless really

he is only doing it cos he is friends with alexander...still theres a chance barry fry might be there so i better get my autograph book out:}

Just checked out the Peterborough website to see if I knew any of their players. They're all English except for one Irish guy, a Jamaican and a Northern Ireland international (http://www.irishfa.com/squad-profiles/325/senior/james-quinn-forward/).

was at game tonight about 150 there. we started with regulars faz, hughes curran, (mckenzie mccartney)turner. the rest were from under 21 side i think. p/boro scored 2 goals within 1 minute in the latter half of the first half( 36th/38th minute). the second half there was a lot of changes nad we ended up with having only peers on from full team squad at the end. it was a good workout for the younger players and i was very impressed with coleman and mc kenzie (who only gets a game now and again). peterboro were physically stronger but if we had a full squad out we would have given them a good run for there money. no sign of harpel shign. also i hear that the money wont be made available for the horse. sean has a fair bit of strength in depth but we need a bit more quality. but i think we have a fine side and im going to the bookiers tomorrow to back them for the cup . if odds are still 16/1 i think its a great bet.if we can keep the momentum going a win in waterford and/ bray should get a very good crowd for the cork game. but its all about marketing the club need to do a bit more. any opinions?

He was training with the first team before the match and you could see him coming from the astro pitch after about 30mins of the first half.
Id say more than 150....maybe 210 but who cares anyway.
