I heard it's not happening now because of the apathy shown by local businesses or something along those lines.

heard that too....its a shame as he would have drawn a crowd, and scored a few goals

sure this wasnt justa rumour it was horsefiled, i mean he was in the premiership last season and went to shefiled utd for a few million, couldnt see us being able to sign him.In todays paper coventry are after him...

Heard loads of different players mentioned Brian Deane,Ashley Ward...

Horsefield is apparentley a friend of Connor's, and was also looking for coaching experience, so that suggests that it was infact Horseyfield.

I wouldn't give Ashley Ward 50 euro a week, never mind what Horsefield would cost..

Mickey Adams is hoping to sign him for 1/2 million sterling. No business in Sligo is going to bankroll that type of money for a 22 year old, never mind 32 year old striker. I'm sure he would come if we were willing to throw money at him. As Sean said, we are building for the fiture.

I heard not Red the guy was fact interested and willing just the money was way out of question no chance. My source will to be honest you wont get much better honestly because i did not believe till i asked him in carrick at the Gaa match last weekend

The Stars

hes not great in fairness.....dont think any of them would be worth getting really.having said that they have one good centre half and we could do with another one for back up.

Brian Cash looks like signing for rovers from derry, played in a behind closed doors friendly 2day. Also a new striker from halifax played both looked really good by all accounts.

The Stars

According to todays Sun, Rovers have expressed an interest in Harps player Conor Gethins. The whole Harps squad are on the transfer list because of their current financial problems so they will be looking for a fee as he is one of their better players.

Rory H

Gone on loan for the remainder of the season. That would be no addition to us to have him for half a season on loan. Plus, he has played sh*te all season from what I've heard.

The Stars

and he would be a long way behind Flash,Judge and McT when he comes back.
