I think it will be us or Sligo finishing 6th.

I would say that UCD are the Value in that Market

Not a chance. We'll never achieve the consistency to do that.

is that 7/4 on the filth factoring in GF getting the axe?

if not, mentalism.

That 7/4 Bohs looks much too big. They're clearly a better side than all the others, also you have to factor in that Rovers would settle for even 9th whereas Bohs would regard finishing 6th as a bad season.

Fair play to Stan James for giving odds on this though!

well you must also have to consider that we beat Bohs, and also our manager wants us to finish in the top 5 and believes we can do it.

Seriously though player for player Bohs are a better team than Sligo - midfield of Harkin, Hunt, Farrelly & JP Kelly. Up front Grant, Ward & Arkins they should be as good as Mansaram, McTiernan & Judge.

Bohs are playing absolutely shi* this season but Sligo are playing pretty well yet there's still only a point between them.

Oh my god I just seen a sentence that I never thought I would see in my Lifetime as a bohs supporter

"Arkins hatrick tonight."

Ha not even he would beleive that plus our two keepers our out with Digger suspended and Matt Gregg Broken Hand we might be seeing another lose tonight

Have €3 on Limerick, Bohs, Bray, Drogs, Derry, Pats, Cobh, Galway. Can't see that happening though so put another one -> Lims, Derry, Cobh and Galway!

bohs are better than us but we beat em twice this season. i'd like to hear the interesting logic behind that. arkins is fat&useless(farrely isn't far off that either), mcguiness&ferguson are sh*te too. harkin& joxer are good but seem incredibly inconsistent. keith foy may be a fat bast*rd but i'd take him anyday of the week over dessie byrne. hunt: class act no debating that but i didn't notice him 2nite. john o'hara is miles better than digger.

Bohs are the value at 7-4, even if slightly less so after last night. Once Farrelly is gone, they'll shoot up the table. They've a considerably better team (at least in theory) than the likes of Sligo and UCD.

that has to be the worst arguement ive ever heard..
A better team in theory....what the fcuk does that mean.
we beat them 1-0 and 2-0 and they are better than us.
even Bohs fans think we are better.

how many times have you seen darren mansaram, adam hughes, chris turner, gavin peers, jamie mckenzie & matthew judge play? do any bohs fans think they have better players than us or is it just galway supporters who think this????

Exactly we hammered Cork 2-0 so are obviously the best side in the league. Case closed Mr. Delaney!!!

Bohs at 2/1 is a decent bet IMO

Should that not read "But Bohs have better PAID players than Sligo."

Face the facts here. Anybody under any illusion that we are going to finish in the top half of the table this year needs their head examined, especially with that useless piece of sh!t manager we have. We are Fücking bruuutal. The only teams I can see us getting anything from this season are Waterford,.... well that's it. Waterford. Thanks be to God there is no relegation this year!

No, the others are all rubbish too. Good win for you though

Rory H
26/06/2006, 3:07 PM
i wasnt at the game but if we were that good our manager would be getting all sentimental...he only called it a "good win",....therefore i can assume bohs handed it to us:)

a win tonight now would be a good win

its fair enough to say the bottom 7 are much of a muchness.....bray and waterford are very poor and dublin city are having a bad time at the moment....if rovers get a bit of luck and a couple of new signings we are looking at that 5th place you currently occupy;)

At the moment Bohs are 7 points behind Sligo but there are still 20 games to go. When comparing the sides earlier in this post I didn't mention Bohs defence because I think it's poor and Sligo are solid enough.

Although Sean Connor is aiming for a top half finish Bohs would realistically have been aiming to win the league this season. Gareth Farrelly should have some self-respect and resign, it's embarssing for him at the moment and no good for my bet!!! :D

The Stars

Cant beleive you backed them to finish 6th or higher....you deserve to lose your money for that.
Never mind top 6,we are only 7points off the lead.

Sligo 11/10

Longford 7/2

Dublin City 10/1Considering we're in fifth now after Pat's embarassing defeat at home to Bohs, what's the odd's on Pat's to finish in top 6:p.

Don't understand that at all. I took the 7/4 on Bohs as well, I fail to see how we're now favourites. After Bray this Friday we have Shels next week, and as it is, Longford have a game in hand over us, with UCD to play at home on Saturday. Sligo and Pat's, the teams everyone else has to catch, have also played a game less.

The only explanation is that Bohs have been backed into that price, that no money has come for any of the other teams.

The thing about that is everyone who has a game/games in hand are against the top 4 teams in the league, so will be expected to lose.

Sligo would have to be favourites but I suppose Bohs reputation and people not putting money on them probably are the reasons for their short odds.

I think we are a good price there. Playing good football at the moment. Collected 10 out of the last 12 points available. No goals conceded. UCD, Pats and Sligo our next 3 games, 3 teams just above us. Get 7/9 points out of those games hopefully. I honestly believe we'll get 6th at least.

New odds. Becoming a joke:

Sligo 11/10
Bohs 2/1
Longford 11/4
UCD 9/1

Maybe Pats can't be put in because they weren't included originally?
