Windows Movie Maker

I'm trying to download it at present but for some reason to no avail thus far.:confused:
It keeps telling me i have to get Microsoft Update which i have done.Yet that seems to be all it's doing.It says that's how you download it, but it's not working!!:rolleyes:
Am I doing something wrong or what's the story?
Should I use something else??
Any tips?I would like to get the windows movie maker if at all possible.

Dimension 1500-Dell?....Is that what you're on about?
I do have windows media player that's why it's annoying me that it won't download.

Do you have Windows XP, 2000 or 98? I think that the Movie Maker comes with Xp, so if you don't have XP you could get a lend of the XP instalation disc off someone you know who has it.

I thought i had Xp 2000....obviously not!:rolleyes:
I take it i need the disc so?

I used Adobe Premier Elements trial version for a college project and that worked fine.

Not sure to be honest. Just used the elements for editing a movie

Much to my delight and astonishment i discovered it on the computer this morning?:confused: :)

I don't know what the problem was but at least i have it now.
